Aloha, I’m Laurie.

I'm an esoteric subject nerd who has discovered a passion for design and web technology. Originating from Seoul, Korea, and spending my formative years there, I’m a first generation Korean-American, fortunate enough to have been raised on the beautiful island of O’ahu in Hawai’i. Continuing my blessings, I now call the vibrant creative hub of Portland, Oregon, my home.

My background in web development and interaction design focuses on merging SEO with usability, resulting in aesthetically pleasing and highly functional designs. I approach challenges with an insightful, focused, and supportive mindset, offering flexible solutions that cater to the changing needs of users.

My unconventional journey as a Cosmictologist (Spiritual Consultant and Hairstylist) over the years, has helped me cultivate a deep understanding of empathetic listening and intuition.

I’ve integrated these skills into my approach while designing projects, which allows me to offer a creative and insightful perspective. For me, design is the art of blending aesthetics, functionality, and understanding the users’ underlying needs.
